Change the color of your eyes, safely.
The FLAAK technique by Dr Yoni Gozlan,

The FLAAK Technique
A revolution in eye color surgery — absolute precision, maximum safety, permanent results.
FLAAK keratopigmentation is an innovative surgical technique that permanently changes eye color. Using a high-precision femtosecond laser, Dr Gozlan creates an ultra-thin tunnel in the corneal stroma where a biocompatible, certified and clinically tested pigment is deposited.
Unlike iris implants, FLAAK keratopigmentation does not come into contact with the internal structures of the eye. The pigment is deposited in the cornea, without touching the iris or lens — which considerably minimizes risks and offers an incomparably natural result.
Outpatient procedure under local anesthesia — 20 to 30 min per eye.
The results are immediate, natural and permanent. The chosen color integrates harmoniously with your gaze, creating an authentic effect indistinguishable from your natural color. A complete preoperative ophthalmological assessment is systematically performed to guarantee your eligibility and safety.
Dr Gozlan accompanies you at every step: initial consultation, surgical procedure, and rigorous post-operative follow-up until complete pigment stabilization.
Certified biocompatible pigments — permanent result — no contact with the iris or lens.
Femtosecond Laser

Everything you need to know
Clear answers to the most frequently asked questions about FLAAK keratopigmentation.
Yes. The FLAAK technique uses certified biocompatible pigments and a high-precision femtosecond laser. It does not touch the internal structures of the eye (iris, lens, retina), making it much safer than iris implants. Thousands of procedures have been performed with excellent results worldwide.
No. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia using eye drops. The patient feels no pain during the operation. In the following days, mild discomfort or light sensitivity may be felt — it generally disappears within 48 to 72 hours.
The procedure takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes per eye. It is performed on an outpatient basis — you go home the same day. Full recovery is achieved within 48 to 72 hours, with rigorous post-operative follow-up by Dr Gozlan.
We offer a palette of natural shades carefully selected to harmonize with each morphology and skin tone. During the initial consultation, Dr Gozlan will guide you toward the colors best suited to your face and aesthetic desires.
A prior ophthalmological consultation is mandatory. Contraindications include certain eye diseases (active glaucoma, severe keratoconus), pregnant or breastfeeding women, and immunocompromised patients. The recommended minimum age is 25 years. The complete preoperative assessment will precisely evaluate your eligibility.
Yes, the result is permanent. The pigment is deposited in the corneal stroma and does not migrate. No regular touch-ups are needed. A slight change in shade may occur in the first few weeks as the pigments fully integrate into the tissue — this is perfectly normal and expected.
The price is communicated during the initial consultation, based on your specific situation. Keratopigmentation is a high-precision medical surgical procedure that is not covered by health insurance. Contact us for a personalized estimate.
Iris implants are placed inside the eye and present serious risks: glaucoma, cataracts, corneal damage. The FLAAK technique acts only on the superficial corneal stroma, without ever touching internal structures. It is considered significantly safer than iris implants.
FLAAK keratopigmentation is designed to be permanent. The pigment integrated into the corneal stroma cannot be removed by a simple procedure. This is why a thorough and considered consultation beforehand is essential before any decision.
No. The pigments are deposited in the peripheral corneal stroma, leaving the central optical zone intact. The technique only modifies the perceived color of the eye, without affecting visual functions. Regular ophthalmological check-ups are nevertheless recommended.
